Big collision

Last night about 6 am there was a big collision as the cold air came in and mixed with all the heat and humidity we've been having. All of this produced a two hour lightning show and lots of sleep canceling thunder. I rained pretty hard for awhile and we ended up with .89 inches in the gauge when it was all done. Once it finally stopped raining it was time to head for the grocery store. The trip that had been deferred for as long as possible. The trip was uneventful and after the groceries were secured a spin was taken around town and the result of the trip was that Marengo is also uneventful. The only thing of note was the local library which was a Carnigie library and it is believed that Marengo is the smallest city in the U.S. to receive one of these grants.

We are now back in our spot in the park and settled in. This afternoons plan includes a nap to replace the sleep that was so rudely interrupted this morning by the thunderstorm. A nap will always go a long way toward enjoying the good life.
