The best we could do yesterday was 43 degrees and it was misting all day. It was a good day for chili and fortunately my neighbor Shelly whipped up a pot and invited me over for supper. It hit the spot and Sal, Shelly and I had a nice visit over steaming hot chili. Today we don't seem to be faring much better temperature wise. Right now it's 46 degrees and the sun is still lost somewhere in the overcast. Cabin fever is beginning to set in and the topic of conversation seems to be focused on when we might see the sun again. This is pretty unusual and people who have been around these parts for awhile don't recall an extended stretch of this kind of weather in a long time. The extended forecast looks like Monday is the day we will finally get some relief.
Today more inside activities are planned around the computer, books and the TV and probably this evening the weekly trip to town for our meal in the city. In the meantime we will entertain ourselves as best we can and keep a sharp eye out for a ball of fire in the sky in an effort to enjoy the good life.
