This morning was the monthly meeting of the Recreation Association. This is the group of park residents that makes the plan of activities for the park and is open to anyone staying in the park. There is no management involvement with this group so the meeting went well. Upcoming activities include a spaghetti diner, trivia contest and the Alaska String Band, which is a family group from Juneau Alaska. This is in addition to the regular flea market, twice a month breakfasts, the monthly birthday party and bingo games.
This is the activity schedule for January. You can see the Association keeps us busy.
Two residents of the neighborhood have ended up in the hospital the last couple of days. Don went in Sunday and Pat went last nigh. Both are doing well and hopefully we will see them back home very soon. Come on guys, this is no way to start the new year.
After the meeting it was time for a trip to the laundry. This occupied the rest of the morning and was completed just as the sun broke through the morning overcast. This afternoon promises to be nice with temperatures in the mid 70's and it looks like some visiting will be in order for the rest of the day while enjoying the good life.
