Yesterdays event

About 11:00 am yesterday people started gathering at the rec hall as the smell of food drew them like a magnate from all parts of the park.

Lots of hugs and handshakes were exchanged and smiles were everywhere in anticipation of what was to come.

The food was piled high on the table. This is the food table looking south.

The other end of the table looking north. They just don't make plates large enough to accomodate what was available.

And of course what dinner would be complete without Jeanie guarding the dessert table.

One more extension cord and all was ready. Lest anyone worry, this serving line was designed to accommodate all this wiring and not a breaker was tripped.

Ready to go and the crowd heads for their seats.
Max and I did a masterful job of dispensing the meats judging from the number of people who said they ate too much, which I believe was the object of the day. Everyone did enjoy themselves and they were very appreciative of Mary Ann's efforts in putting this all together. They had a leftover meal last night at 5 pm, but my swelled belly prevented my attendance.

Last night we had the coldest night of the season when the thermometer bottomed out at 36 degrees and we are going to be pushing to get to 60 today. It looks like we will have to wait until mid-week to get back into the 70's. Don't worry though, we will still find a way to enjoy the good life.
