Twas the night before

Things are jumping around here this morning as preparations are under way for the big Christmas dinner tomorrow. Arrangement of plates has already taken place in the hall and the ladies are busy with their baking of treats for the desert table. This effort is designed to get everyone to say 'never again will I eat this much' and that should occur about 1:30 tomorrow as the last person pushes away from the table.

Yesterday afternoon saw the arrival of the air card and within a half hour the software was installed and we were up and running with Verizon internet. The Hughes account has been closed and the big blue dish has been stowed. The signal here is strong and we are in a 3g network area. Now all I have to do is manage my usage to make sure I don't exceed the 5Gb limit.

This morning has started out overcast, but the sun is slowly working its way through the clouds and we should end up with another 80 degree day by the time it again becomes dark. I will probably spend today visiting around the park in an effort to begin to work off the calories I expect to accumulate tomorrow, but I imagine that job will not be completed until well into the new year. Just another way for us to enjoy the good life.
