This morning I looked at the UPS tracking site to see the status of my air card which was shipped yesterday for overnight delivery. Here's what I saw. At 7:44 am the package departed San Antonino after leaving from Ft Worth yesterday evening and traveling to Louisville and then back to San Antonio. By 8:31 the package was in Laredo (47 minutes to travel 156 miles, a new record, I'm sure) and at 8:45 it departed Laredo only to arrive back at Laredo at 9:15 (huh!!!). At 10:20 the following message appeared: THE PACKAGE WAS LEFT IN A UPS FACILITY / FORWARDED TO THE FACILITY IN THE DESTINATION CITY. To the best of my knowledge there is no UPS facility in Zapata, so the question remains...will the air card arrive today or will it continue to sight see around the country?
I did have one UPS delivery yesterday. The camera tripod that was scheduled to arrive today came a day early. It was still a day after the eclipse which would have been helpful, but a day late, a dollar short is a part of my lifestyle that I've grow accustomed to.
Ready to shoot the moon...a day late.
This morning around here we are again in a pea soup fog waiting for the sun to break through so we can get to the 82 degree temperature we've been promised. My job today will be to watch for the UPS man to arrive while enjoying the good life.
