New alarm clock

This morning there was a new alarm clock in the park. The trash truck arrive at 7:00 am much to the delight of several of my neighbors. The resulting clang and bang of the truck emptying the dumpsters brought out people who aren't normally seen at such an early hour. This mornings early morning sky looked like we were in for some serious rain, but by eight the sky had cleared and the sun was out and we are headed towards 90 degrees today.

This mornings walk brought an awareness that we have a new group of blooms sprouting forth around the park. Around here it seems the different seasons are marked with a different assortment of flowers to enjoy. Some day I might even learn some of their names, but for now I will just show you the pictures and leave the naming up to the readers.

There is lots of variety to tickle the eyes.

Today's excitement in the park will be the arrival of the mailman. After yesterdays 'no mail day' a large number of residents will be gathered around the mailboxes waiting for his arrival. In a 55+ park, it's the simple things that let folks enjoy the good life.
