Call to duty

For the second day in a row we have no sun. It's 57 degrees and overcast. It's supposed to get into the 80's, but that was a promise made yesterday that never developed. We'll see what happens today but it sure seems winter is getting an early start around here.

This morning I was called to duty. Harley and Annis have headed to Laredo and Nikki is now in my care. Nikki is their Boston Terrier and as you can see from the picture is overwhelmed having me as her care giver. Actually Nikki is very laid back and very little overwhelms her.

Nikki is a pretty good girl and she will follow you anywhere provided you have a pocket full of treats.

Today's plan includes some movie watching and keeping a sharp lookout for the sun. It's not the most stressful of days that I have planned, but it's part of the good life.
