Brisk walk

The start to my day was timed perfectly this morning. I was up at 6:00 am and started the hot water heater as is my normal procedure. I was able to get my shower and shave by 7:00 am and just as I was finishing up the water dropped to a trickle and then shut off completely. It seems the park had another water line break last night and the maintenance crew was here bright and early to make repairs. This is a couple of times a season happening and today it was at the end of my block and had been running all night. Enough water had escaped that Lakeview Drive below our street was flooded. I am surprised I was out of the shower and not fully soaped up when the water stopped, as were some people, I suspect.

I've had a couple of folks ask about the new header picture I put up yesterday. The scene was taken in Twin Falls, Idaho this summer and it is a picture of the Snake River just up river from the twin falls.

The walk around this morning was rather brisk, with the temperature at 57 degrees and a wind coming off the lake at about 15 miles per hour. I finally broke out the sweatshirt for the first time this year.

It is now starting to warm up and I'm starting to detect some movement in the park so I guess by noon everyone will join me in enjoying the good life.
