After working all day yesterday on Mr. Acer we are back to square one. Everything was reloaded to factory defaults and the same problems we encountered occurred again. We are now back on Mr. Dell for the time being and will make one more attempt at making Mr. Acer work. All the skills of my ten years in the computer business are being challenged and the problem is not making itself apparent. All I know is the longer it runs the slower it gets until eventually it won't even reboot and Windows has to be reinstalled. I'm suspecting a bad processor, but I don't have the diagnostic tools to test with. So, one more shot and back it goes.
Right now it is a struggle to enjoy the good life, but we continue to push on.
