A visit to California

This morning before it got too hot, and it is going to get too hot, 98 is predicted, I decided to visit California. I rode the bus down to the riverfront and as luck would have it I was able to rent a yacht for only $3.00 to take me to California

As we left Lake Havasu City we passed two of the may lighthouses that line the shore. These are to scale replicas of  world famous lighthouses.

The is the East Quoddy lighthouse which is in Maine.

The West Quoddy lighthouse, also in Maine.

There are currently 15 replica lighthouses on the lake with more planned. Then it was on to California. 

The casino is the red building in the center.

While looking around before breakfast we were amazed at how clear the water was. Not only could you see fish, but you could see their shadows on the bottom.

A nice breakfast was enjoyed in the casino restaurant and then it was time to board for the return trip. Before we left a picture of Lake Havasu City was taken from the California side.

Once back in Arizona the bus back to the the campground was captured and I have returned home after another day of enjoying the good life.
