Busy day

Yesterday ended up being a busy day. First it was a trip to the clinic to get a checkup and to learn that everything was fine. I still have to have lab work, but I'm confident it will be good. Then it was back to Mel to air up the tires. Because of the wheel covers and the location of the valve stems this is a time consuming job, but it was accomplished in a little over two hours.
Ready to add air.

After I got that done and was ready to relax a bit I discovered another problem, the toilet that was put in last fall wouldn't shut off and the bowl continued to fill. For those of you who are not plumbing savvy  this is not a good situation. The bowl will only hold so much water and then it will overflow and if it continues to run will eventually fill the inside of Mel. Immediate action was required. Another two hours of investigation, dis-assembly and lubrication and the sticking valve was working like new. The beauty of living in a motorhome is there is always a project lurking just around the corner.

This morning we are enjoying a bit of a breeze and we saw the departure of another neighbor as Don and Marilyn headed out. They will be stopping a few days in Tyler, Texas to visit family before heading on home to Oregon. Their departure has pretty much turned our street into a ghost town. There are only three units left on our side of the street.
Mel is getting lonely.

Plans for the rest of the afternoon include a bath for Mel if the weather clears and other than that I will just focus on living the good life.
