After a cloudy start yesterday the day went steadily down hill until about 4 pm when it began to rain, it then rained all night and it is still raining. So far after raining for 20 hours we have managed to record an inch of moisture. One inch of rain here is a significant amount when you consider the average rainfall for January/February combined is 1.74 inches and we have already gotten 3.81 inches so far this year. Here the ground is so hard that most of the rain just forms puddles and sits there. It looks like Friday will be the next clear day. I suppose we will be sending most of this rain to the north and my friends in the Midwest will have the benefit of this moisture in a couple of days.
This morning I took a quick tour around the park between the drops and then visited with Harley while Annis ran some errands and went to school as part of her 'Just for Kids' project. This is another project the people in the park participate in where they help the children of Zapata with school supplies, clothes and glasses and other things that they wouldn't otherwise be able to afford.
The rest of the day will be spent fighting off cabin fever and taking care of a few projects, all the while enjoying the good life.
