The weatherman outdid himself today. Overnight low was 34 degrees, but we managed to climb all the way to 36 before the day ended. To complete the weather picture we've had a light drizzle all day and the sun has not visited us at all.
The new chair is here, it has been assembled and tested in both the upright and the nap positions and has passed the quality control test.
Upright working position
The advanced eyelid watching position.
Friday
33 degrees and a light drizzle is what the weatherman provided for us this morning and just an all round ugly day. I made a trip to Wally World this morning to pick up a prescription and wouldn't you know the meds I needed were out of stock and won't be in until after 3 today. I did pick up a few vittles and a couple of cans of chili were on that list.
I have found the Mel is not designed for cold weather. The furnace is running all the time and I just hope the propane holds out until Tuesday when the refill guy arrives.
With the weather outside it looks like today will be another day of new chair testing.
High for the day was 40 degrees and it's misted all day to the point where we've reach .13" of moisture without and real rain, just mist. The one thing that didn't happen was any of the snow or ice stuff that was in the forecast.
Saturday
Well it's still not warm enough to call the temperatures normal. 39 degrees for the start of the day and 52 is where we are at now and it's still drizzling. I did make a trip to Walmart this morning to pick up the two prescriptions that weren't in yesterday. As a result of the new improved healthcare my co-pay has risen from $10.00 to $34.00 and this is with the generic stuff.
A couple of games to watch today is going to be the extent of the activities while waiting for the warm up.
It was supposed to be 70 here today with some sun. Neither of those things happened. :(
ReplyDeleteI'll send some your way. It is 77 here with a bright ball of fire in the sky.
DeleteNow you did it....Paul will want one of those "advanced eyelid watching position" chairs. Fit him perfect!
ReplyDeleteThis weather is driving every nuts...or to drink...whichever.
We finally got a break here today, Two days of nice and then back in the cellar for about three more days. I can hook Paul up for a small commission.
DeleteThat chair looks like a keeper and hopefully will alleviate some of that stress you get from your hectic lifestyle... :c)
ReplyDeleteIf I eliminate any more stress I'll be comatose.
DeleteWe're headed for the mid 80s this week. That is really incredible for February. Interesting looking chair. Now if you could add a hooked on table to it.
ReplyDeleteWe've got a couple more cold days scheduled then the warm up. I'm ready.
DeleteNice chair!
ReplyDeleteDo you keep electric heaters on hand? Might not be a bad idea to help with the propane. I never used the heater in my TT or in the Park Model I always used electric and I was always nice and warm. at least you have had 2 days of sun and warmth. The weather here has been great but by end of week we are looking at high 80's not wanting to get there yet
I have a space heater and I also have a heat strip in my air conditioner, so I've got a few ways to heat the place. We are finally starting to break out of this cold, maybe we can put winter behind us.
DeleteSo happy to see that our snow and ice is beginning to melt. Lots of trees and limbs down in this area, and still around 15,000 people without power, but the crews have been working non-stop to get trees cleared, and power poles and lines back up. Glad we did not have to move into the motorhome since we did not lose power here at home. You stay warm, and we will do the same, John.
ReplyDeleteI think this has been a winter to remember across the country. Hopefully it's on to spring so you can get out there with the fur kids.
