In spite of popular demand I have decided to return to blogging, however I'll be trying a new approach. Instead of a daily post I will recap my weekly activities into one post published every Sunday morning. This will relieve me of the pressure of being creative every day of the week which has a tendency to overtax the meager mental resources I have to work with. Join me on Sunday morning for a journey into the vacuum I leave behind as I wander aimlessly about.
Welcome back John, looking forward to your Sunday posts!
ReplyDeleteIf it is OK with you, I will join you right after church. So glad you are returning. We all worry about you!
ReplyDeleteThat would be good, I'm not even close to a reasonable substitute.
DeleteI will reverently approach your blog each Sunday morning seeking enlightenment, oh great one!
ReplyDeleteRuss, you're going to scare me with that talk.
DeleteFrom somewhere on I-40 in western Arkansas, WELCOME BACK.
ReplyDeleteOn your way back to civilization (Texas) are you?
DeleteYou took a nice little vacation, so I'll be expecting fabulous posts. ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope passable will do.
DeleteI'll be checking in right after church. Good to see you back on here
ReplyDeleteThat's the best approach.
DeleteYippee!! Eventually I'll probably go to a weekly post. Especially when we're not traveling. But I'm sure glad we're going to hear from you again.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed at the response.
DeleteGlad you're back. Missed your rapier wit and scintillating sense of humor.
ReplyDeleteJust a confused mind in action.
DeleteBlogging is like the song by the Eagles ... "Hotel California". You can checkout but you can never leave.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back.
I'm hoping for maid service.
DeleteWelcome back. Since I'm not traveling much, I haven't posted too much, But I want to keep my blog for when I do travel and to have a journal of my life.
ReplyDeleteI know, it's hard to write about doing laundry and watching the calendar move.
DeleteCouldn't handle it, huh? Glad you're back and updating. It's much easier to blog every few days instead of daily. Daily is difficult and addictive.
ReplyDeleteI'm weak and couldn't stand all those unposted thoughts.
DeleteI knew you'd give in to the siren call of the keyboard! :cD
ReplyDeleteJust like a mermaid luring ships into the rocks.
DeleteSounds like a plan. (We won't mind if you post on another day, though. I think trying to post EVERY Sunday morning would freak me out. I'd rather just post when I feel like it. Less pressure.)
ReplyDeleteI think your dull days are still interesting to us because our dull days are different than yours. Glad you're back. :)
Dull days are part of the joy of retirement.
DeleteYippee! Your back! Once a week is OK by me, missed you.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to be missed.
DeleteWelcome back
ReplyDeleteToday is Saturday, Sept. 28th, so you may have a new blog up tomorrow, in keeping with your new found discipline. I look forward with great anticipation to the delightful and expressive comments that you no doubt have been saving up all this week. As someone famous once said..."Let 'er rip!" And your photos are always fun to see. I will sleep better tonight, just knowing that your blog post will be coming tomorrow.
