Day Two, much better.

Day two went much smoother. The day started with the folks at Sanderson Feed and Oil removing the tattered awning which is now stowed in Mel's living room. We are now headed to Elephant Butte where we plan on putting Chip Baker to work installing a new one.

Todays travels took us from Sanderson Texas to just south of Roswell New Mexico and tomorrow should put us in Elephant Butte. Visiting with friends while waiting for repairs is one way to enjoy the good life.

  3. Hmmm. I just read about someone else that is at Elephant Butte. At least most of the day was uneventful. Hopefully, it'll be the same as you travel on. We like the good and uneventful days.

    1. We've had enough events to last at least a few weeks.

  4. I just knew today was going to be better.
I now have put departure on hold until Wed. I don't like driving in 35 mph winds.

    1. I don't blame you, I delayed the start of this trip to wait for the winds to lessen.

  6. How are the temps where you are now? We got a cold front the other day, it's still pretty pleasant today. But that's about to change with a few hot days, then back into the 70's. It's enough to drive you crazy! ;-) Glad you'll be getting the awning fixed, but sorry that it had to happen. Now, watch out for aliens & chupacabra. Don't worry about the javalina they are real.
