The pictures below are of a storm moving in the other night. Now if I were in the Midwest I would have been heading for cover. In this part of the country things work a little different. These clouds produced absolutely no rain, at least where I was standing.
On the lower right portion of this picture you can see the Virga effect. Virga is rain that doesn't reach the ground. Seen most often in low humidity areas and in the summer where moisture evaporates before reaching the ground.
The best we could do out of this front were these black clouds and a little lightening.
This afternoons projects will be to fold and put away the laundry which will probably expend what energy is left after this mornings vigorous activities. At least I have clean clothes available and that is important to enjoying the good life.
I sure understand the whining and laundry. I am going to get a portable wash next summer. They roll around and can be hooked up to the kitchen sink like the portable dishwashers. Don't over do. :)
