This morning Loren and I made the trip to the ghost town of Lake Valley New Mexico. The town site is now a Bureau of Land Management site and is being protected. I will put together the photos I took and tell the story tomorrow.
On the way back we stopped in the town of Hatch at Sparky's for a hamburger to die for. Flame broiled on a mesquite fire, I had mine without any condiments. plain as can be and it was more than flavorful. You can see from the signage this place is more than a little whimsical, but they sure serve up a good burger.
The rest of today will be spent sorting out the pictures I took and going over the literature they provided to prepare for tomorrow's blog. Studying history is another way to enjoy the good life.
That burger sounds yummy. The more stuff outside the better the food inside.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the pictures tomorrow.
Thanks for sharing.
