Mt. Pleasant Iowa

Yesterday we made it to Mount Pleasant Iowa after a detour to Walcott where Mel got a much needed bath. We also took time to visit one of the 5 restaurants in the I-80 Truckstop.

Mount Pleasant is on the Avenue of the Saints which runs from St. Louis to St. Paul and is home to one of the Wal-mart distribution centers. They also host the Old Threshers Reunion every September.

Today we have a short drive to Hannibal and the slicing and dicing scheduled for in the morning. If the heat would go away it would be a lot easier to enjoy the good life.
