I drove right through Vaughn and kept heading west right on into Elephant Butte. I managed to time my arrival right before what was supposed to pass for a thunderstorm. Lots of noise, really dark clouds, but very little rain. It has clouded up today so will see if something develops.
Katie update: I found out today that several people out there have been following Katie's progress on the blog and just wanted to let everyone know that last week Katie took her first steps without crutches. Progress continues forward.
Since I arrived I had visits with Sharon and Clay and Loren stopped over this morning for a nice visit. Now it's time to settle into a routine and drop into Sunday mode for the rest of the day. Meeting up with old friends is always part of enjoying the good life.
WOW Katie is sure a trooper. Go Katie Go. I am so happy for her I bet nothing is going to keep her back.
ReplyDeleteI am also happy to hear you are in cooler climats now. Have fun. How far are you from the White Mountians, AZ ?
JOJO, Elephant Butte is approximately 250 miles due east of you and it's about 40 miles west of here to the eastern edge of the Gila National Forrest.
ReplyDeleteKatie is quite a young lady.
