Prep day

This morning was prep time to get ready for heading south on Monday. Some tanks were emptied and some tanks were filled, this was determined by what the tanks held. Loose gear was stowed and I think I'm ready to head out in the morning. My plan is still to head to Walcott and the I-80 Truckstop to get Mel washed before pointing Mel's nose south. For those of you who don't know the I-80 Truckstop is billed as the worlds largest truckstop and has been featured on several TV shows. It's always fun to stop in there, just to see what's new.

The rest of today I will be in Sunday mode now that the chores are done. Sunday mode means just allowing time to enjoy the good life.

  1. WOW That is a huge truck stop. Be safe on the road and I hope you find some cooler weather.

  2. Safe travels John. We leave Nebraska today heading straight west for as fast and as long as we can go. We're tired of all this heat and humidity. At 5:30 this morning it's 78* and 90% humidity.
By the way we got rerouted yesterday due to the flooding over highway 20. I guess that's all the rain you've been getting hit with.
