So long breakfast

This morning my friends Dave and Debbie went to downtown Truth or Consequences for breakfast at the Bar-B-Que on Broadway restaurant for a 'farewell for awhile' breakfast. I was skeptical about Bar-B-Qued eggs, but it worked out that they fixed breakfast the conventional way.

Dave and Debbie are leaving for Woodland Park Colorado in the morning and will be work-camping there for the summer. At an altitude of 7500 feet they will be heading back into freezing temperatures, at least for awhile and didn't seem overly excited about getting the long pants back out. Above the restaurant was the town water tower which is pretty well decorated up.

Yesterdays event was an email confirming the shipment of my new surge protector from RV Parts Country. The email included a tracking number so I had to see how for along the route to me my order was. Here's what I saw. HUH????

It seems whoever typed in the mailing label information typed in NH instead of NM for the address. Even though the zip code was correct an attempt was begun to deliver my package to Elephant Butte New Hampshire. I'm beginning question what else might go wrong with this order. At least now it's pointed in the right direction and after a journey of 2,556 miles is scheduled to arrive Tuesday. My surge protector is going to be worn out by the time it gets here.

After a relative calm day yesterday where the wind actually stayed below 10 miles per hour, wind warnings are back in todays forecast. We'll see what the day brings, but rest assured we'll be enjoying the good life.
