Cool down

The weekend cool down has begun. Today it is only supposed to be 109 degrees and right now it is just 92. If this keeps up I might have to cut some firewood.

Activity around here is still non-existent and signs of life are few and far between. I did get out a walk this morning and I'm going to make a trip to the office later.

I got a shipment of mail from South Dakota yesterday so I have a new supply of reading material to keep me occupied during the heat of the day. I have also found a supply of reading material at the office. So by the time I get out of this heat I should be well read.

We just had a brief power outage. It only lasted a couple of minutes, but it got me to wondering. Can you imagine what it would be like sitting in a motorhome in 110 degree heat without air conditioning? I hope I don't have to find out.

I just got a call from the dermatologist's office and the biopsy results on the corner of my eye are back. It's basil cell so tomorrow we will do a little more digging and find out how much longer I will be here in the heat, enjoying the good life.

  3. If your power went out you could always fire up Mel and have the vehicle air conditioner keep things cooler, at least until you ran out of gas ;-)
