This weekend is Elephant Butte's annual celebration. This morning's schedule included a car show, a boat show and a parade. Later they were to have a golf tournament, street dance and activities for the kids. Unfortunately after several nice days in a row today it is 55 degrees and raining. It's a shame to see all the work that goes into a celebration like this get washed out by the rain. There is also a carnival in town and they have set up less than a block from the RV park. Probably not the neighbors I would have chosen, but we shall endure.
Yesterday I talked with Chip and the replacement throne has still not arrived, so it looks like it will be the first of the week before we can get going again. We will just have to sit here and enjoy the good life.
