Back in Zapata
Mel and I started early this morning and we are now in Zapata. We had to make a stop in Laredo when Mel insisted on a bath. The next stop was to fill up the gas tank and finally a trip to Wal-Mart to fill the refrigerator and the pantry. We have now settled into our spot and are running the air conditioning at max to combat the 98 degree temperature. A cold front is expected to pass through tonight with tomorrows high expected to be 82. From Laredo to Zapata I was able to enjoy a headwind of 30 mph and the fuel readout indicated I was getting between 3 and 5 miles to the gallon. Altogether a day to enjoy the good life.

I might have settled in too soon. It's 91 degrees at 8 pm.
