Someone pointed out to me this morning that today is Labor Day. I guess that means I have the day off. I'll make it a day to watch the ball game. I guess I should also thank those of you who still work and help pay for my retirement.
We have a beautiful day here in eastern Colorado. It is 80 degrees and the humidity is 38% with a 10 mph breeze. How perfect is that? The park has emptied out as people head home, so there are just a few of us here to enjoy the day.
Today's holiday dinner will be a pork roast, mashed potatoes, peas and applesauce. I'll wait until after the ballgame to go to work in the kitchen.
This morning I saved a life. As I was filling the water tank I noticed a frog that had fallen in the below ground water hookups and couldn't get out. The frog has been saved to hop again. Had he been a bit bigger it would have been frog legs for lunch, his puny size saved him.
