Wet
I was just able to redeploy my Internet satellite dish. Storm conditions dictated that I stow it earlier today. We have had quite a storm here today with high winds (gust of 67 mph reported), nearby lightning and lots of rain. When I say lots I mean lots. To the tune of 3.77 inches so far at the airport and 5.5 inches at nearby Greenwood (I'm half way between the two of them) and it's still raining. It has settled down some and the most severe weather is now to the east of us. The weather radio sounded well over 10 alerts.
This is what it looked like during the height of the storm from Mel's window. The white patch just to the right of center is the fountain in the lake which was blowing sideways. I just found out that the previous record for this date, going back to 1871, was 1.52 inches. Sort of broke that one, didn't we. I am now ready for calmer weather.
