Company coming

The welcome mat is out and Mel and I are just waiting for our company to arrive. We are expecting son Dan to arrive some time between 3 and 4 this afternoon. Then tonight it's off to the rehearsal and both families will get together for pizza afterwards. They have invited all of the out of town family to the rehearsal as sort of a get acquainted or re-acquainted get together, which is a nice touch. One disappointing note, Tim 'the barrel man' McKernan, Devon's other grandfather will not be attending for health reasons. He wanted to come, but the doctors wouldn't let him fly. We'll miss him. Tomorrow is the big wedding and all is in place. Devon should be here later tonight depending on when the Navy lets him leave Pensacola. Hopefully, all will go well with his travel, because a wedding without a groom is like...well, just group of people standing around.
