Today it has been breezy which is good, it keeps the heat in check. The big project in the park the last couple of weeks has been the construction of the float for the annual Zapata parade. This years theme is western history and the clever people have gone all out in an attempt to have the championship float for the third year in a row. The main float is a bar room theme with a poker table, poker players, dance hall girls and cowboys at the bar. The float will be surrounded by golf carts disguised as Conestoga wagons. The parade is Saturday and I'll have more pictures then.
