Falcon Lake

This afternoon I walked down to the lake and it is still rising. A little background about Falcon Lake. The Lake in normal pool covers 78,000 acres. To put this into perspective, those of you who are familiar with Mark Twain Lake near Hannibal it is 18,000 acres. The lake is now 5 feet from full flood stage and the depth of water at the dam is approximately 96 feet. This is one big lake.

It's now uphill to the boat docks and it won't be long before they have to wade to the gangway.

This cove was completely dry last year.

The pole in the middle of the cove is about 25 feet tall and last year was completely exposed.
