Rain and cold.

It has rained all night and is still raining this morning. The temperature is 50 degrees and it's not a very pleasant day. The rain will probably be pushed out by the 50 mile per hour winds we are supposed to get this afternoon. A nice spring day would be nice. Today I am posting the last of the pictures from the Santa Fe Center Museum. These are the collection of Indian artifacts they had on display.

This Indian headdress was worn by a chief. Feathers were given by the tribe to signify accomplishments, much like we give medals to soldiers today.

This is an example of the detailed bead work used by the plains Indians.

More bead work.

A ceremonial drum.

Pottery and weavings.

More pottery and some tools.

Weaving.

More weaving. can you imagine the hours that it must have taken to create this?
