Today turned out to be more interesting than I wanted. I left Roswell headed to Fort Sumner and turned on to NM 20 highway. This road, I use the term loosely was very similar to a wash board. On arriving at FT. Sumner I hear something dragging under Mel. One of the safety straps on the water tank had come loose. Fortunately I was able to find a repair shop that could get me back on the road. Denny the mechanic was just as helpful as could be. After the repair I went on to the Billy the Kid Museum, which was the purpose of going to Ft. Sumner in the first place. You see, Billy died and was buried here, thus the museum. After touring the museum I headed to Santa Rosa where I am now. The last 20 miles I was embraced by a 30 mile an hour crosswind which really capped off the day. I'm here for the night or until the wind stops blowing.
