More from Pecos

Pecos became the center of the many ranches in the area. It wasn't uncommon for a cowboy to ride 50 to 75 miles to spend his pay here, mostly at the local saloons. Pecos claims that on July 4th, 1883 a group of these cowboys gathered together and challenged each other to a rodeo. Today Pecos bills itself "Home of the World's First Rodeo".
These are the rules you have to follow if you want to ride the stagecoach to or from Pecos.

A chuckwagon kitchen which was carried on the back of a buckboard out to the range.

The tack room. The frames contain a collection of the different types of barbed wire that was used in the area.

This would be a Texas Longhorn.
