As I was sitting here relaxing after another strenuous day of retirement I had a knock on Mel's door. The person standing at my door was Butch Hastings, a 1962 graduate of West Pike High School who retired in 1997 from UPS in Palmyra and has been full timing since then. We had a nice visit and talked about a lot of old firiends. The first two names he mentioned were John Frier and the unforgettable Bud Purvis. Butch played a lot of softball and could remember a lot of the old players. What a small world it is.
