Goofin' off

The day got off to a slow start and I'm not sure if it was because of the chilly temps or that people were recovering from last nights soup supper. We had 250 people there last night, sort of like a Hedges family get together. The soups were good and we had the choice of turkey vegetable and potato. Not wanting to disappoint any of the cooks I tried both. Today I spent the day visiting neighbors and we have solved most of the worlds problems. I am thinking of heading for Laredo tomorrow to restock, but I have to be back by 3 o'clock because one of the residents is making homemade ice cream tomorrow afternoon. Seems like there is always something to eat around here.
