Moving again.

The mail finally arrived this afternoon and I was unable to get under way again. This morning Jim and I went to Port Arthur to take his deer to the processor. We also saw where he worked before retiring. I certainly had a good time visiting with my sister and brother-in-law and their hospitality was outstanding. I will miss my nightly dose of blueberry cobbler ice cream. The banana pudding ice cream wasn't bad either. Thanks Kate and Jim.

This afternoon Mel got to ride on the Galveston ferry. The picture shows her on the deck. Mel was also inspected by homeland security before boarding. They checked under the hood and used mirrors to check the underside. We passed with flying colors. From the ferry we drove along the seawall to the end of Galveston Island and then crossed the long toll bridge and we ended up in Freeport for the night. We got to see a lot of million dollar plus beach homes. Freeport is a refinery/fishing town and we will check it out further tomorrow.

  1. Hey Johnny, I got signed up w/ Google & caught up on your last 10 days of travel. Better lay off TOO many of those YUMMY desserts or eventually you may not be able to fit into Mel's GIGANTIC shower. Did I read you right that you're NOT traveling alone?? Be careful & continue having fun. Palmyra Bird Man
