Kingsville, Tx

I am now in Kingsville, TX. Mel's trip to the doctor was partially successful. The door is fixed and I can now lock myself in, that's good. The microwave appeared to be fixed at the dealership, but by the time I got to Kingsville it was acting up again. I guess I'll have to go to work on it myself. Now about Kingsville. Named after Capt. Richard King, a retired riverboat pilot, this is where the Texas cattle industry supposedly began. The King ranch is approximately 850,000 acres, a little bigger than Rhode Island, and currently has about 60,000 head of cattle. I am going to take a ranch tour tomorrow and then check out their museum. They also have a leather shop where they make their own saddles. If you want to learn more about the ranch here is their site. http://www.king-ranch.com/
