This morning my neighbors with the barking hound from Hades left for parts unknown. Actually last night not a peep was heard from Cujo. Someone must have talked with them and set them straight.
We have a noon o'clock ballgame today so my afternoon is already planned. The Cardinals continue their winning ways and are now 3.5 games ahead of the Reds. Winning baseball is always a lot more fun to watch than losing baseball.
After the game it will be more people watching as the next group of folks shows up for the night. That's a real way to enjoy the good life.
Glad the dog from Hades is gone! What a pain in the behind.
ReplyDeleteGlad someone is winning games. We, the Tribe, lost again yesterday. Getting tired of this dog and pony show!
I probably shouldn't have said anything, kind of like the weather talk the other day.
DeleteEven as a hound owner, what you went through with the dogs barking would bother me. Luckily my hounds are into 2 things....eating and sleeping.
ReplyDeleteMy Reds can win, but only against teams with losing records. So far in 2013, the Reds have a losing record against teams with winning records. I am surrounded by Cardinal fans at work and we were discussing last week, can you win a division pounding the teams with losing records and stay .500 against teams with winning records.
The final answer was humorous but accurate ... "would it matter if you did win the division because the playoffs are only teams with winning records, so you would lose in the end anyway".
Glad to hear "Cujo" has left the area.
Sure is quieter without Cujo.
DeleteAhhhh, peace and quiet again! Carry on with your enjoyment of your Good Life, John. Don't forget to stay hydrated, and to stretch now and then, as you enjoy the ballgame.
ReplyDeleteI did as you suggested and still didn't enjoy the game....they lost.
DeleteYour team may have lost, but you won when Cujo pulled out!
ReplyDeleteThat was a win, win.
DeleteCujo was probably complaining to his owners about "the guy next door", keeping the tv volume turned up and Cujo hates baseball, so they left. :)
ReplyDeleteCujo didn't even know I was home with my low profile.
DeleteStill a good day to be "in the good life"!
ReplyDeleteNo yard work, no chores, ahhhhhhh
How's the weather where you are?
Absolutely a good life, even with an occasional hiccup. The weather has been good around here, low 90's, 20% humidity and a breeze kicks up in the afternoon, Nighttime drops to the high 50's for good sleeping.
