Reposition

Yesterday's plan was to continue west to California with a visit to Salvation Mountain and the Slabs. That was the plan before the thermometer pegged out at 104 degrees with a promise of 106 today. It was then that I decided to point myself north and start looking for temperature more to my liking. Today we have moved north to Kingman Arizona and will probably spend a week here exploring the area. Of course Kingman was on the original Route 66 so we can add another piece to that puzzle. There are two or three museums in town and lots of historic Route 66 buildings to be explored 

On the way in I stopped in Lake Havasu to stock up on groceries at the local Walmart and had a bit of a mishap. I was putting a 24 pack of Dr. Pepper into the cart when the glue on the box gave way dumping the entire contents, all 24 cans into the cart, all the cans survived save one and it proceeded to erupt like Mount Saint Helens. Murphy's law being what it is that can could have sprayed in any direction for 360 degrees, but instead drew a bead on me and liberally doused me.

The rest of today is postponed for lack of interest, but I will watch the ballgame tonight and the tomorrow we will scout the town in search of a full enjoyment the good life.
