1st - Evel Knievel made a brief appearance in the park disguised as JB who was loading his motorcycle into the pickup in preparation for his departure this morning for Alaska.
The launch ramp.
The takeoff.
And the landing of a successful launch.
2nd - Tommy and Faith had a cookout on there patio for the survivors that are still left in the park. I think almost everyone who is still here showed up. Really a nice time.
Tommy alias Burl Ives in the foreground.
It's hard to get this many people in a lineup outside the police station.
Faith tending to the fixins.
Really a good time. This morning a trip to the gas station was in order to put enough gas in the tank to ward off summer evaporation while I'm gone. The holding tanks were also emptied and the light that illuminated the flag was stowed. Getting closer to a second departure.
This afternoon I will be watching the home opener of the St. Louis Cardinals which is always an event and even more so with the absence of #6. Stan Musial will miss a home opener for the first time in many, many years. I'll be interested to see how it's handled. Just another day around here of enjoying the good life.
Love the Evel Knievel photos. What a hoot.
ReplyDeleteCan't watch but following my Tribe on the Internet. So far those damn Yankees are winning 5-3...booooo
I'm watching the Cardinals beating the Reds (that other Ohio team) 4 to 3 top of the 8th.
DeleteI was thinking Evel Knievel was going to make an appearance on America's Funniest Videos. Darn, I hate when a plan works out! ;c)
ReplyDeleteHe told me he's always succeeded loading, but has failed a couple of times on unloading. That will happen in Alaska without witnesses.
DeleteLooks like you still have quite a few folks left in the park.
ReplyDeleteI guess I will be the first to depart here even thou I will be coming back and leaving agian in a few days.
started gathering things for the overnighter. And of course making that all important list.
Actually that's about all that the folks that are left out of 118 sites. My departure is day to day depending on the weather.
