Calm

After yesterdays 38 mile per hour winds, calm has returned. It was nice to take a walk this morning around the park without getting blown away. After the walk I joined Loren, Ian and Bob in the clubhouse where we proceeded to solve most of the worlds problems. Ian is from England and is very interesting to talk with. Now that the world problems are in check I can return to my schooling on Windows 8. I will confess Windows 8 makes my head hurt and seems a lot more cumbersome than previous versions of Windows.

Other than that there isn't a lot of activity in the park although this morning one big fancy diesel pusher did try to make an exit with the living room slide still out. He got stopped before he got passed the office and made the adjustment before hitting the road. This afternoon we should see the arrival of the weekend warriors and their brand of entertainment. This should provide comic relief while we are trying to enjoy the good life.

  1. Definitely comic relief when the week-end arrives. Glad somebody stopped the guy before his slide did much damage.

  2. Can you imagine if that diesel pusher made it out to the road? And how embarrassing - they need to add that to their check list. I've seen people with antennas up and either I or someone else stopped them, but not with a slide out.

  3. Dang I would really like to visit with Ian again. It has been a couple of years since I visited with them down in Alpine. Say HI for me. He hasn't a ghost of a chance remembering me though. Have fun.

  4. Can you imagine if no one stopped him and he tried to go thru a tollbooth???

I can't believe he didn't notice the slide was out. Somebody should have given him a field sobriety test. :cO

    1. Big hurry to get on the road. It was a full living room slide, about 18 feet long.

  5. Egads, doesn't that diesel pusher have any built in safe guards. When we owned our Tiffin, we couldn't put it in drive with any slide out.

    1. Thanks TexCyn, part of the was covered in the Windows 8 for Dummies book. The guy who wrote it isn't thrilled with 8 either.

  7. It's amazing how many world problems you can solve with your friends. Too bad it doesn't last long.
