Yesterday I was looking at a calendar of special observances here in the USA. I found that in addition to days most of us are familiar with, like Mothers day, Fathers day and Arbor day there are a few more that most of us are less aware of. Did you know that February 2nd is 'National change you windshield wipers day' or that July 15th is 'Cow appreciation day'. My personal favorite, falls on the 1st Saturday in May and is designated as 'World Naked Gardening Day' (do not Google their web site right after eating). Celebrating this might not be a good idea if you have a cactus garden.
After looking at this and other inane observances I've decided to add an event to the calendar with some real meaning to it and thus tomorrow, the first Monday in April, has been designated as 'Clean Mel Day'. Anyone wanting to participate should arrive at Mel's location at 8 am with cleaning supplies in hand. With proper promotion this could become the next Festivus.
As you can imagine the rest of the day will be spent making preparations for tomorrows big event while trying to work at enjoying the good life.
Be careful here, someone not carefully reading this could miss the "L" and think is clean me day. Also someone not knowing who mel is could have the same idea. Could get rather interesting.
