Winters left

Winter has left us for awhile. Today was supposed to be 66 with a 40% chance of rain, but the clouds have blown away and right now it's 70 degrees and really nice. I made the rounds of the park this morning and the prevailing question with utilities coming due in the next few days is how many gallons of electricity and how many kilowatts of water did you use. This will be determined on the first of the month. I can't wait to see the results.

This mornings walk around the park revealed the results of Gary's project to me. Gary is a boater and it has become more difficult, because of health concerns, to carry gas out on the dock to his boat. The lake, which is 90,000 acres, doesn't have a marina to purchase gas. So Gary came up with the ingenious solution of outfitting a small trailer with a gas tank and pump that he could drive right down to the lakeside to replenish his boat. Gary fabricated the entire setup in his driveway and it is now ready for operation.

Pretty professional job, don't you think.

The rest of the day will be spent resting up for tonight's Missouri vs. Iowa football game which doesn't start until 9 pm. There will also be some time for visiting as we enjoy the good life.
