This morning we are enjoying a little cold snap, but I'm able to report, unlike our friends in the Midwest, there is no snow in the forecast. This is always a another topic of discussion around here as everyone seems to keep an eye on the weather back home. It helps to reaffirm your decision to head south for the winter when you see back home it's cold and there is snow on the ground, Other than occasional mountain I've passed, I haven't seen snow since I retired 4 years ago and I can report that absence, at least in this case, doesn't make the heart grow fonder.
Today most of my neighbors have scattered like a covey of quail in various directions so things are very quite. I'm sure I will be able to find a ball game or two to watch so I plan to take the rest of the day off while enjoying the good life.
