The saga continues

Mr. Acer arrived yesterday afternoon and the rest of the day was spent getting him ready to be part of the team. The first effort was to introduce him to the internet, which was accomplished almost effortlessly. Next it was necessary to remove the trial progams the accompanied Mr. Acer and that we didn't want or need. That done it was time to install the programs we wanted. Here we ran into the first issues.of compatability. The printer software didn't support Windows 7 and a trip to HP's website was needed to download new versions. There was also a download required for AVG virus software and I found some programs just won't work and will have to be updated or replaced. Next step was to import pictures and favorites from Mr. Dell. Thanks to Clay's transfer cable this was easily accomplished. Mr. Acer is now workable and the rest of the day will be spent fine tuning.

Here's Mr. Acer sitting on top of Mr. Dell while they share information. You can see how much smaller Mr. Acer is than Mr. Dell. The one feature that is missing on Mr. Acer is he has no com port for my weather center. A workaround will have to be found.

Today is Saturday and we will probably work in a little sports as we fine tune Mr. acer and enjoy the good life.
