Morning walk about

After an overcast windy day yesterday today dawned bright and clear. We also got some relief from the heat with an overnight low of 53. It was a perfect day to meander around the park and visit with some of the new arrivals. I also managed to find my way down to the lake and was surprised to see that it has risen since the last time I was down there. Surprised because there hasn't been any rain since the day I arrived. They must be releasing water from Lake Amistad in Del Rio is my deduction.

The view from the boat launch area.

This cove in years past had always been dry. This year it has become another place for the fisherment to explore.

A look at our clear day. The shore line is Mexico and the shadow mountains in the back are near Monterey Mexico and about 50 miles away.

Today will be another day of visiting and watching for new arrivals in the park and tonight it will be a trip up town for the Friday night feed. Larry and I will be heading to one of the eating spots to put on the feed bag. Eating is just another way to enjoy the good life.
