This was a weekend of highs and lows. The high came Saturday night when the Missouri Tigers defeated the #1 ranked Oklahoma Sooners. This was immediately followed by a low Sunday afternoon when the Denver Broncos forgot to come out and play football against the Raiders. They couldn't have played any worse.
Today is basic cleanup day. I started with the outside chores including replacing the batteries, which had passed on to battery heaven, in the weather center.
This was done so I could see how close to 100 degrees we can get today and also to get a handle on the wind which seems to be gusting from the south. The combination of the two will allow me to judge how uncomfortable I am at any given moment. I then moved inside to run the vacuum, do some dusting and general cleanup. I am now in water replenishment mode having caused my body to expel a great deal of moisture through all available pores.
As I have already reached my quota of manual labor for the day I will turn to doing nothing but enjoying the good life for the rest of the day.
