Bounce back time

It looks like today we will start our recovery back to more seasonal temperatures. We bottomed out last night at 38 degrees, which is not what I consider springlike. Today we are supposed to get back into the high 60's and for tomorrow 80 is the goal. Now that's more to my liking. The wind has died down too and right now it's out of the south east at 5 mile per hour. I like southeast winds a lot better than northwest winds.

Today is the dreaded laundry day as I begin gathering up the loose ends in preparation for my departure sometime next week. I also have to apply the license tabs, fill the fresh water tank and drain the holding tanks among other duties to be preformed in the next couple of days. I also will need to visit my friends at Walmart to resupply and there is a tow dolly that I want to look at over at Bakers before I leave. I'm guessing I'll be on the road about Wednesday or Thursday heading further west to points unknown.

Now it's off to the laundry room to figure how to work doing the wash into living the good life.

  1. Whew, it's windy here! Put gas in my van today & the winds blew my gas cap - they just wanted to see me scramble for it. Not funny winds! Then they tried to steal my drivers door when I opened it! Such naughty winds. I'll be looking forward to where you head next.

    1. Those winds have a way of being contrary. Glad you weren't defeated.

  2. So many things that have to be done before departure, eh? Good thing you're fast! When the wind dies down, and the temps heat up...hit the road fast!!

  3. That is quite a pre-departure list of things to get done. You'll be too tired to leave... ;c)

    1. I'll rest until I'm ready, no sense in rushing things.

    1. I've found that that smell good thing is only temporary.

  5. I'm sure in the future everyone will have disposable clothing. Then, there won't be any need for those dreaded laundry days.

  6. You crack me up with the dreaded laundry day. What part do you despise the most? washing, drying, sorting, putting away, etc? or maybe all the above?

    1. Want to look at a tow dolly? Second thoughts about pulling PaT around behind you?

  8. I keep seeing you say "license tab". What is that? Here in TX we have windshield stickers on the inside. No stealing that way, like I had one time when I put one on the actual plate.

    1. License tabs are the sticker that goes on the plate indicating the expiration date. That way the plate doesn't have to be replaced every year. The way they are made now, if you try to peel them off they will self destruct.

    2. TnT in Texas we have the stickers inside on the windshield for the inspection and registration of the motor vehicle. Then for my home (trailer) the license plate still gets a sticker for the corner. A lot of states still use the stick on tab on the license plates on motor vehicles. As you can imagine nothing is uniform across the USA.
