A walk around town

Seibert Colorado is an interesting little town. It is located on US 24, which was once the main route to Denver, and had reached a population of about 2,500 people before the interstate was built to the south of town. Since then the population has dwindled to around 800 and most of the activity has ceased. When I took a walk around town I found one business still operating and several empty buildings. This is a modern day ghost town.

The one operating business is the grocery store in the center of the picture.
The old business block

The town once had a hotel

Another deserted business block.

Along with the hotel there were three motor courts. Here is one of them.
